I've previously worked as a teacher's assistant at a performing arts company in Abilene and have assisted with their middle school and high school summer musical theatre camps. I want to tutor because I realize how hard it can be for a kid to struggle with certain subjects and feel left behind in their classes. I'm very right-brained and good in English and history and things like that, but always struggled with science and math. I would ask for help, but it still sometimes seemed like Greek to me. I want to use my skills to help someone else understand something they're frustrated about. I'm a theatre major, but I have good basic music skills (theory, sight-reading, etc.) and also do well in English related things (writing, grammar, literature) and history (particularly American history). I also have directing experience and am used to working with theatrically kids from elementary school to high school, so if there's a kid who needs some acting coaching and some extra theatre training, I can do that too.
